Mobile App - Sending Attachments in Chat

The Chat feature allows you to attach media and files to any conversation. You can:

• Upload photos from your gallery
• Take and send photos or videos live
• Edit photos and videos before sending
• Attach files
• Manage which photos and videos are allowed in the app to send

To Send a Photo, Video or File

1. Open an existing Chat Conversation or start a new one.
2. Locate the message text bar at the bottom of the screen.
3. To the left of the text field, click on the Attachment/Image Icon.
4. A menu will appear with options for 1) Camera, 2 ) Gallery and 3) Files.
5. After adding media or files, you can optionally type a message in the text field.
6. Tap the Send arrow.

Your photos, videos, or files will appear in the chat thread. See below on how to Add Attachments via Camera, Gallery and Files.

Send a Live Photo or Video

You can capture and send media directly inside the app.

To take and send a Live Photo or Video:

1. Tap the Photo/Attachment Icon to the left of the text field.
2. Select the Camera icon
3. Allow camera permissions if prompted.
4. Choose to Take a Photo or Record Video.
5. Review the image or video, once taken.
6. Edit if desired (see editing section below).
7. Click Choose.
8. Enter a message or caption if desired.
9. Tap the Send arrow.

Send Photos or Videos from your Phone

You can select existing media from your device.

To select Media on your phone:

1. Tap the Photo/Attachment Icon to the left of the text field.
2. Select the Gallery icon
3. Allow permissions and/or manage photos and videos, if prompted.
4. Tap the item you wish to send (one photo or video can be sent at a time).
5. Edit and review the selected item (see editing section below).
6. Click Choose.
7. Enter a message or caption, if desired.
8. Tap the Send arrow.

Send Files from your Phone

You can attach files such as PDFs or documents.

To Send a File:

1. Tap the Photo/Attachment Icon to the left of the text field.
2. Select Files.
3. Browse your device storage.
4. Select the file. Make sure it is the file you wish to send.
5. Once you click on the desired file, it will automatically upload and send.

The file will now appear in the chat.

Editing Photos and Videos Before Sending

After selecting or taking a photo/video, you may edit it before sending. Edits apply only to the copy being sent — your original photos and video remain unchanged. Editing tools include 1) Cropping an image (custom and preset options), 2) Rotating an image, 3) Resetting an image and 4) Trimming a video.

To Edit a Photo or Video

1. Select the photo you wish to send.
2. Editing tools will appear on the bottom of the screen for photos or on the top of the screen for videos.
3. Make your adjustments:
   1. Use your fingers to crop an image to your preference.
   2. Rotate an image counterclockwise or clockwise.
   3. Reset an image to its original settings.
   4. Crop an image to a preset size.
   5. Trim a video to a specific clip (use your fingers to trim down the beginning and/or ending of a video).
4. Tap Choose.
5. Add a message or caption, if desired.
6. Tap the Send arrow.

Managing Selected Photos & Videos

Before sending, you can:

• Choose which photos and videos are allowed for the mobile app to access.
• Deselect items by tapping them again.
• Review selected photos and videos.
• Remove specific photos and videos if needed.

This allows you to control what the app can access and exactly what gets sent.
